This is a simple tip that explains how you can read .pages files. It only allows someone to view the file, not edit
- Save a copy of the file (.pages file) locally on your PC. Let’s say your file name is appletoolbox.pages
- Change the name of the file by right clicking on the file
- Delete the .pages extension and replace with .zip and your file’s name will be appletoolbox.zip
Open the zip file, and you can now see the content. Usually, you’ll find the following three files:
- QuickLook (File Folder)
- buildVersionHistory.plist
- index.xml
Inside the QuickLook folder, there should be a PDF file and/or JPEG images with the same name as the original pages file or named Preview. Both contain the document you want to view or print. Open the PDF file to view and print it. The PDF should contain your document’s complete content. If you also have Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can save a PDF as a Word Document.
